How to troubleshoot and connect your diffuser to WiFi

WiFi Network Requirements

Before performing troubleshooting steps, please review our WiFi Network Requirements article for more information. If your network meets all requirements, follow the troubleshooting steps in sequential order for optimal results. 

App Versions

Errors and diffuser connectivity issues often are caused by old app versions. To ensure smooth experiences, we recommend you update your Pura app to the latest version before troubleshooting. 

App Troubleshooting

  • Force close the Pura mobile app, relaunch it, then re-setup your Pura diffuser.

  • Log out of the Pura mobile app, then log back in and re-setup your Pura diffuser. 
  • Uninstall the Pura mobile app, then reinstall it from the App Store, and re-setup your Pura diffuser.

How To Log Out Of The Pura App

1. Open your pura app and click on Settings. Then click Sign Out.

2. Confirm by clicking Sign Out again. 

Delete

Soft Reset

1. Open your Pura app and click on the three lines above the diffuser you'd like to reset. 
2. At the bottom of your screen, select More.
3. Click Fix My Diffuser to begin the reset.
4. Press and hold the reset button until the nightlight starts breathing blue. Click Continue in your app to follow the remaining steps. 

Hard Reset

1. Open your Pura app and click on the three lines above the diffuser you'd like to reset. 
2. At the bottom of your screen, select More.
3. Click Forget Diffuser to begin the reset.
4. Unplug the diffuser from the outlet and wait 30 seconds. Press and hold the reset button while plugging the diffuser back into the outlet. Continue to hold the reset button for 10 seconds or until the diffuser breathes a blue light. 
Once the diffuser breathes blue, your diffuser is ready to set back up.

Router Reset

Rebooting your router can help with WiFi connection issues. This will clear the cache on the router and provide a new channel for the diffuser to connect to, To reboot your router: 
1. Unplug your router for 30 seconds. 
2. Plug the router back in.
3. Wait 30 more seconds for your router to reconnect to the internet. 
4.Follow the directions again to hard reset your diffuser.
